ELCHK, Lutheran Healthy Aging Club
Introduction
Lutheran Healthy Aging Club was formed in
1984. It aims to provide community support services for the elders and their
carers as well as to focus on the prevention of diseases, health education and
rehabilitation work of the elderly.

Service Objectives
To be prepared for foreseeable problems of an aging population in Hong Kong,
including:
- Providing elderly health and carer
support work
- Delaying the aging process and enhancing
self-care capability
- Building up social resources to promote
the physical, mental and spiritual health of elders
- Referring elders to handle obstacles and
crisis in daily lives, helping others while helping themselves
- Helping carers to master nursery
knowledge and to prepare for their family, friends, neighbors or their own
future
- Encouraging elders to make good use of
their leisure time in order to create a positive attitude towards life
- Assisting elders to form Cheuk Yin Club,
a self-service organization
- Encouraging them to focus on their own
interests and to express their views
Target Groups
- Cheuk Yin Club (卓賢會社) : persons aged 50 or above
- Friends of Lutheran Healthy Aging Club (健頤之友): Anyone who agrees to and abides by
the memorandum of the Lutheran Healthy Aging Club.
Centre Facilities
Event Hall, TV, karaoke, chess, rehabilitation equipment (exercise bikes, hand rope, etc.), computer corner (for members), massage chairs, mahjong games(non-gambling use), conference room, kitchen.
